From February 5th to 6th, the Group Company convened a special meeting on resumption of work and production to study and deploy key tasks for transformation and upgrading in 2025. The meeting was chaired by Fan Jintian, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group Company. Attendees included members of the Group Company’s leadership team, non-leadership senior executives, deputy directors and above from various functional departments at headquarters, and members of the leadership teams from all subsidiaries. The meeting conveyed and studied the relevant deployment on resumption of work and production by Chairman Chen Dexin on February 4th. It also disseminated the three clear requirements put forward by Chairman Chen Jianguang at the expanded leadership meeting of China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC) on February 5th, following the Spring Festival holiday, which emphasized “focusing on learning, implementation, and work style.”
Centering on the themes of “expanding market presence and enhancing profitability,” the meeting conducted in-depth and detailed discussions on 40 issues across 10 areas, including systems and processes, contract fulfillment and value creation, building a “comprehensive marketing” framework, addressing dual losses, contract-based and tenure-based management, streamlining operations, reducing accounts receivable and inventory, controlling and reducing litigation cases, resolving major risks, and improving governance capabilities. These discussions were aligned with the “two enhancements, dual governance, and two guarantees” proposed at the Group Company’s annual work conference, aiming to identify gaps, address shortcomings, and solidify the foundation for the company’s transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development.
The meeting emphasized that 2025 marks the decisive year for the conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan, during which the Group Company will face greater challenges and tests. All cadres and employees must clearly understand the situation, remain confident, and strive with determination. The meeting outlined five key tasks: 1. Fully implement the spirit of the annual work conferences of China Minmetals and MCC, streamline and simplify systems, and strengthen execution; 2. Vigorously advance market expansion and resolutely achieve the “10-billion overseas market” target; 3. Fully implement low-cost operations, practice frugality in running the enterprise, and enhance value creation through financial management; 4. Strengthen project fulfillment by leveraging expert resources, ensuring quality and safety control, and promoting technological innovation; 5. Fully implement the “two enhancements, dual governance, and two guarantees,” with a focus on performance evaluation and penetrating supervision.
The meeting called on all levels of leadership to deeply understand the Meeting spirit, attach great importance to the issues and suggestions raised during the discussions, strengthen internal communication and coordination, and implement precise measures. All employees were urged to quickly adjust their mindset, embrace their work with high morale and efficiency, and jointly create a new chapter for the Group Company’s transformation, upgrading, and high-quality development.
